| WHAT DO WE DO? This holiday is primarily intended as a holiday for the amateur astro photographer with some experience and his wife/family/friends. Our main instrument is a 20-inch (51 cm) Planewave with SBIG camera. This telescope can be used visually, but is primarily intended as an astro camera. The smaller telescopes can be used visually or photographically. There is one computer near the telescope to controll the Paramount ME mount, the focusing of the Planewave and the SBIG camera. There is also a laptop in the living room from where you can work remotely with the telescope. The Main telescope is housed in a dome on the roof of the Bungalow (Here not yet vissible, recent pictures will be added later) We will be open for the public as from october 2011. During your stay here you will be a guest of the owner of the observatory. The owner will always be present when you use the telescopes to explain and to get you started. There are 3 ways to stay here 1 - You are our a guest in our beautifull bungalow

You can always use the pool at the observatory of course and the BBQ area is at a distance of 100 meter. You choose the nights you wish to use the telescopes, or if you wish, you drive the motorhome through Spain, Portugal, southern France, etc. WHAT EQUIPMENT CAN WE USE? <== See equipment on the left site You can take H-alpha pictures and/or OIII-SII-Ha band imaging or 'just' plain LRGB pictures. Processing can be done on the main computer of the Observatory in Photoshop CS3 if you like. All data can be burned on DVD so you can take everything home. You will keep the complete copyrights of your Frames, DATA and work. WHAT DO WE EAT? You may use the kitchen as you like. Maybe I'll make you a diner once in a while, we'll see :-) Restaurants are EXTREME cheap here, a 3-course meal for 10-15 euro, including a bottle of wine, so......why coock? There are VERY BIG supermarkets in the neighbourhood. HOW TO GET HERE? The best way is to fly (for example) with Ryan Air to Alicante. Sometimes it costs you only 30 euros per person. You can get on a plane in "Eindhoven" or "Charleroi" or on an airport near you. See the ryan-air website for more details or other air-transporters. By airplane is cheaper than by car, due to the fuel-costs and the Toll motorways in France and Spain, After your arrival at Alicante airport you will be picked up with our shuttle-service (free but max 6 people) and you will be brought to the bungalow or your motorhome. RETURN? We bring you back with our shuttle to the airport and then you fly back home in 2.5 hours. WHEN? The observatory and / or motorhomes can be booked throughout the year. Just send a mail and inform. PRICES? Prices have yet to be determined. You will see that soon on this website Different prices will be determined for: 1 - Your stay in the bungalow 2 - The use of the Telescopes (per night or something like that) 3 - The rent of a motorhome |
